Hey guys,

So, I got the galley back for In Stone and have had zero time to prepare a post. Up until about ten minutes ago I was going to bow out of Thursday’s Children altogether, but that felt wrong because this is my every-other-week spot, so —

I don’t go out much, but recently the sun has been out in Lancashire and my mum and my sister forced me to grab a lungful of fresh air. We took lots of pictures and I thought I’d share them with you because, when it’s splashed in sunshine, where I live could be the setting of a fantasy novel. I can’t decide what about these pictures is more inspiring… I thought the landscapes, but then there’s all the colors and the sun and the art…

A note to my fellow Thursday’s Children participants: I’m so sorry I’ve been so sucky at leaving comments on your blogs. The only excuse I’ve got is that I’ve been out of my mind busy, which is no excuse at all really because I know how brilliant you all are and how hard you all work on your posts. As soon as I’m done going through this galley I swear I’m dropping by everyone’s blog to leave a comment ❤

I’m glad you did post. It’s a good reminder to me to get out of my cave and enjoy the summer while it’s here!

Galleys! So exciting! I love the one of the wild flower. Sorry I’ve been sucky too–I’ve been on deadline for my non-fiction and preparing to move country!

  4. Great photos! A walk always helps with inspiration, especially when it’s surrounded by nature. And a goat 🙂
