Tell us about Forget Me Not…
Forget Me Not is the story of Anamae, a seventeen-year-girl who discovers more than she bargained for when she stumbles upon her mother’s old jewelry. Turns out, it can and does make her invisible which draws the attention of the Collective, a secret group who control the knowledge and use of advanced technology for their own advancement. Once they find out she knows, Anamae is on their hit list and they won’t stop until they catch her.
Forget Me Not features a tenacious main character, a bad boy hero, an overprotective bff, and a bucket load of secrets.
Do you have a favorite character?
That’s like asking if a have a favorite child!
…. of course I do, but telling would get me in trouble, so you’re going to have to wonder about that.
What made you want to write *this* story?
I’ve always loved conspiracy theories. Loved finding them, listening to them, debating about them. Some are so way out there all you can do is laugh. I’ve had many laughs… so I wanted to write something that explored one of the more ‘out there’ theories; New World Order.
Do we get to read some kissing?
YES! And it’s pretty steamy kissing too. I should warn you though that there’s a pretty big build up to the first kiss; you certainly won’t find it in the first chapter, or even the first quarter of the book. It’s worth waiting for though.
What’s your favorite line from the book?
I have so many that it’s hard to narrow it down to one. Maybe;
Fiction is fact. Know the truth.
This moment is all that exists.
The way he stands makes me think he doesn’t have a worry in the world, nor does he care what we think. But something about him oozes danger. It’s just below the surface, like a lion dozing in the sun.
If you weren’t a writer you’d be a…?
Can I give an adjective here? If I weren’t a writer I’d be bored. I love writing and I can’t image not doing it. I actually get a little irritable if a day goes by when I can’t write.
Since her mother vanished nine years ago, Anamae and her father have shared a quiet life. But when Anamae discovers a brooch identical to her mother’s favorite pendant, she unknowingly invites a slew of trouble into their world. When the brooch and the pendant are worn together they’re no longer pretty pieces of jewelry — they’re part of a highly developed technology capable of cloaking the human form. Triggering the jewelry’s power attracts the attention of a secret society determined to confiscate the device — and silence everyone who is aware of its existence. Anamae knows too much, and now she’s Enemy Number One.
She’s forced to leave her father behind when she’s taken in by a group determined to keep her safe. Here Anamae searches for answers about this hidden world. With her father kidnapped and her own life on the line, Anamae must decide if saving her dad is worth risking her new friends’ lives. No matter what she does, somebody is going to get hurt.
“I certainly won’t be forgetting Nash’s debut, FORGET ME NOT! A vividly fast-paced tale with adventure, secrets, and kissing!” -Kimberly P. Chase, Author of THE APOLLO ACADEMY.
