Check out our newest newsletter here! StandUp for Kids - Atlanta has been consistently on the streets of Atlanta since serving homeless and at-risk youth. We also work with students who are identified in Fulton, Gwinnett and Hall counties schools that are experiencing a change in their home setting. Often, but not always these students have lost parents, are living with someone other than a legal guardian or are experiencing homeless with their family or as an unaccompanied youth. We provide programing which address the challenges facing our kids on the streets and in the schools through volunteer-based outreach and mentoring.
To be a Grady volunteer means you are a hero to every patient, family member, and visitor you interact with. For the few hours you are here each day, your guidance, support, and kind smile make the difference in every interaction — and your contribution is invaluable. Our volunteers help manage information desks, spend time in family waiting areas, provide wheelchair transport, and assist with wayfinding throughout the hospital. Kindness matters, and it is the key to making everyone who walks through our doors feel safe, welcomed, and cared for.
Volunteers are essentials to the success of the Museum! A wide range of volunteer opportunities is available. We welcome people of all ages with a variety of skills and backgrounds. Fill out our Volunteer application , or check out our Teen program, and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch! Whether on weekends or school breaks, Teen MVPs play and guide guests around the exhibit floor, help with our daily programs, assist staff with cleaning and other tasks, and much more!
